Writing on this website

Guide illustrations are prepared examples. They are not produced by calling an AI service. Text you type in the homepage typing room or the typing test stays in the page. The page scripts do not send that text to a server. The typing test stores your best words-per-minute for each duration in this browser. Sound settings and the website demo’s command names are also stored in this browser. Clearing site data removes them.

The Mac app is not included in this repository. This notice does not say where the app produces autocomplete or rewrites, or whether it sends writing anywhere.

Purchases & licenses

Stripe handles payment details and purchase information such as email, transaction amount, status, and any billing information collected at checkout. We can access relevant transaction records for fulfillment, support, accounting, refunds, and fraud prevention; our license service does not receive full card numbers. See Stripe’s privacy policy.

Our licensing database stores an internal license identifier, a keyed hash and encrypted copy of your key, the Stripe checkout identifier, license status, and activation records containing installation identifiers and timestamps. Installation identifiers enforce the three-Mac limit. Requests include network metadata; keyed hashes of IP-based rate-limit buckets help prevent abuse. They are not used as an advertising profile.

Website storage & service providers

Your browser stores sound preferences, demo command settings, and typing-test best scores. The purchase success page stores a receipt capability in session storage so it survives refresh; where that storage is unavailable, the capability remains in the URL fragment. Save your key before closing the tab. Clearing browser storage removes these settings and can remove receipt access.

Vercel hosts the website and licensing endpoints and stores license records in Vercel Blob with private access. The license code does not record a raw IP address in those records. It stores a keyed hash of a rate-limit bucket. Website fonts are files on this site. The license and checkout code in this repository do not call a model host. The published terms name Hugging Face for the app’s model download; that client is not in this repository, so this notice does not describe what that download sends.

App downloads & updates

The download page redirects the installer to the current DraftKey disk image on the project’s GitHub release. This repository does not include the app’s update client, so it does not show whether update checks include a writing sample, a license key, or a system profile. The owner needs to confirm that behavior.

Purposes, retention & sharing

The license code stores purchase and activation records so it can issue a key, enforce the three-Mac activation limit, and reject a revoked key. It does not contain a job that deletes those records on a schedule. Receipt claim records include an expiry 30 days after checkout. Rate-limit counts are kept in five-minute buckets. The code does not show an advertising sale of writing, and the website and license handlers in this repository do not receive the text typed in the Mac app. Stripe’s own records follow Stripe’s policy. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Available rights depend on applicable law; we may reasonably verify identity. Deletion can affect license recovery, and legally required records may be retained. Where applicable, you may complain to your data-protection authority. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Tell us if you believe a child has provided it.
